Classify industries on the basis of source of raw material. How are they different from each other

Agro-based and Mineral-based Industries.
agro-based industries obtain raw material form the fields,plantations,farms and so on whereas the mineral-based industries obtain raw material(ores or crude oil) from mining areas and mineral deposits.

on the source of consumption of raw materials there are two types of industries. they are -
1)AGRO BASED - are those which depend on agriculture for the supply of the raw materials
e.g. sugar ,jute ,cotton

2)MINERAL BASED - which receive their Raw material from minerals.
e.g. iron and steel, aluminum

3)ANIMALS BASED - depends on animals for the supply of raw materials.
e.g. woollen , silk

4)FOREST BASED - which receive their Raw materials from the forest products.
e.g. paper , cardboard
