There are three kinds of meristematic tissues:

•Meristematic tissues at the growing tip that bring about growth in the length are called apical meristematic tissues

•meristematic tissues present at the edges in a lateral manner and help in the width wise growth are lateral meristematic tissue

•intercalary meristematic tissues or cambium tissue is present at the places where branching or flowering takes place.
