Types of plants based on their life span
It is interesting to see that plants are classified into 3 types based on their life span. They are
1.Annuals
2.Biennials
3.Perennials
Annuals are plants which complete their life cycle within one season.
Eg : Rice & sunflower are examples of annuals.
Plants like cabbage complete their life cycle in two seasons & are called Biennials.
Perennials are plants that survive for a number of years. Examples of perennials are mango, coconut, apple & bougainvillea. It is interesting to see that during specific seasons perennials produce flowers & fruits
