On the basis of origin resources are classified in following groups:-
1. Biotic Resource:- All these resources are obtained from biosphere and have life.
Ex:- Forest, Livestocks, Fisheries, etc.
2. Abiotic Resource:- It consists of non living things.
Ex- Minerals, etc.
