A worker is considered as someone who is involved in the production process of value-addition, which later on adds to the national income of the country.
Workers are mainly classified into two types.
Self-employed workers:
These are workers that are engaged in their own business. Examples include a farmer working in his own farm or a person owning a small grocery shop.
Hired workers:
These are workers that offer their services to other people and get paid as their reward. They include school teachers, doctors, publishers, etc. These workers are again classified into two types, casual and regular workers.
- Casual workers are those who aren't hired on a regular basis.
- Regular workers are those who are hired on a regular basis.
