Answer:

Energy sources are of two categories, renewable and non renewable.

Non renewable resources include fossil fuels (petroleum, natural gas, coal) and nuclear fuel (mostly uranium, which is in limited supply). Use of both of them causes pollution. Fossil fuel cause oil spills, acid rain, air pollution, water pollution etc. Nuclear energy may give rise to radiation pollution.

Renewable resources of energy include biomass energy and some forms of inexhaustible energy like solar energy, hydro power, wind power etc. They are less polluting but far more expensive due to technological incipiency.

Hey mate....

Here is your answer;

about renewable sources and non renewable sources ;

* Renewable sources can be oee replaced by natural processes as quickly as human use them.

*Nonrenewable sources exist in fixed amounts. They can be used up. examples include fossil fluels such as coal .

Classify the following gas renewable and nonrenewable sources of energy;

a. Coal:

coal take millions of years to form. coal is classified as a nonrenewable energy source because it takes millions of years to form. coal contains the energy stored by plants that lived hundreds of millions of years ago in swampy forests. layers of Dirt and rock covered the plants over millions of years.

b. Biomass:

Biomass energy, a renewable energy source , can also be a non renewable energy source. biomass energy uses the the energy found in plants s. biomass energy Relies on biomass feedstocks -plants that are processed and burnt to create electricity. biomass feedstocks can include crops such as

corn or soy , as well as wood.

c. Water :

From a technical view point,

water is qualified as a renewable natural resource, it has a hydrological cycle and is able to recharge from precipitation .

d. Sunlight :

sunlight is a renewable source, and it's most direct use is achieved by capturing the sun's energy. A variety of solar energy technologies are used to convert the sun's energy and light into heat: illumination , hot water , electricity and ( paradoxically ) cooling systems for business and industries.

e. Uranium:

The material most often used in nuclear power plants is the element uranium . although uranium is found in rocks all over the world, nuclear power plants used use a very rare type of uranium, U -235. uranium is a nonrenewable resource. Nuclear energy is a popular way of generating electricity around the world.

f.L.P.G:

LPG- liquefied petroleum gas. LPG is the abbreviation aur short form for liquefied petroleum gas. like all fossil fuels it is a nonrenewable source of energy. it is extracted from crude oil and natural gas.

I hope it helps you....

Have a great day!

peace ✌
