firstly, what are transparent, translucent and opaque materials?

TRANSPARENT - these are the materials which allows light to pass through them completely. and hence, we can see clearly through transparent objects.

TRANSLUCENT - these are the materials which allows light to pass through them but not completely. half of the light get absorbed. that's why we can't see through it clearly.

OPAQUE - these are the materials which don't allow light to pass through them. almost all light get absorbed. that's why we can't see through opaque objects.

now coming to your question,

  • transparent - glass window

  • translucent - oily paper, frosted glass, glass used in bathroom.

  • opaque - wood, notebook, metal sheet.

one more thing, how much light will pass through materials depends on it's density. if density is less, then more light will get passed and if density is more, then less light will pass.

Some Defination

✴ Transparent Medium—

The property in which the light passes through a medium is called as transmission property of an object and the medium will allows the light to pass through it is called as the transparent medium.

✴ Translucent Medium—

The objects which allow only some of the light to pass through them, but the other light rays are scattered is called as translucent medium.

✴ Opaque Medium—

The objects which does not allow light to pass through them is called as opaque medium.
