Classify the following properties according to digestion in humans, ruminants and amoeba. (5)  Animals chew the cud in this digestion.  Acid is secreted in stomach in this type of digestion.  In this digestion, food particles are trapped by the pseudopodia.  Absorption is done by villi in this type of digestion.  Cellulose is digested in this digestion.

.The human digestive system consists of the gastrointestinal tract plus the accessory organs of digestion. Digestion involves the breakdown of food into smaller and smaller components, until they can be absorbed and assimilated into the body

Like other vertebrates, ruminant Artiodactyla (including cattle, deer, and their relatives) are unable to digest plant material directly, because they lack enzymes to break down cellulose in the cell walls. Digestion in ruminants occurs sequentially in a four-chambered stomach.

Digestion in Amoeba mainly takes place in the food vacuole. Food vacuole is formed when food is engulfed through phagocytosis. These vacuoles are pushed deeper into the cytoplasm where they join with the lysosome to form secondary lysosomes.
