1. Silver nitrate, another product of the reaction, can stain your skin. After the silver has dissolved, you will add hydrochloric acid solution to precipitate silver ions as silver chloride.
2. As a result of the above reaction, the blue colour of copper sulphate solution will fade away. However, copper being less reactive than zinc will not be able to displace zinc from its salt, i.e. zinc sulphate. Hence, when a piece of copper is added to zinc sulphate solution, then no reaction will take place.
