→ On the basis of regions from the West to East, Himalayas is broadly classified into four parts:-

(1). Punjab Himalayas => This is the region lies between Indus River to Satluj river.

(2). Kumaon Himalayas=> This is the region lies between Satluj river to Kali.

(3). Nepal Himalayas=> This is the region lies between Kali to Tista.

(4). Assam Himalayas=> This is the region lies between Tista to Dihang river.
