1.Conductors
Matters which transfer heat efficiently are known as conductors.
e.g Iron, Copper

2.Insulators
Matters which do not transfer heat efficiently or do not transfer heat at all are known as insulator
e.g wood, Bakelite

The two basis are as follows..

Conductor= Those matels which allows heat to paas through it is conductor. eg. Silver is the best conductor, gold, iron.

Insulator= Those which don't allow heat to paas through it is Insulator or poor Conductor.
Eg. Wood, plastic .
