 <u > On the basis of their availability or durability, Resources can be classified into two :-

1. Renewable resources :- These types of resources never get exhausted on continuous use that means, they can be renewed. For example, sun, water, air etc.

2. Non- Renewable resources :- These type of resources get exhausted when used continuously and once they are exhausted, they can't be renewed easily. For example, coal, petroleum, etc.

  • Non renewable resources- These resources cannot be replenished as they take millions of years to reform. For example- Minerals and fossil fuels.
