on the basis of Degradation there are two types of pollutant first is biodegradable and nonbiodegradable biodegradable wastes can be broken by microorganisms into simple compounds but they also create pollution as huge amount of their dump can cause so much pollution Non Biodegradable wastes are those which cannot be broken down by microorganism into simpler compounds and hence the accumulate in the environment
