classify the resources on the basis of origin exhaustibility and ownership and draw a flowchart
Answers
Explanation:
A resource is a main source or supply from which a benefit is produced and it has some utility. Resources can broadly be classified upon their availability—they are classified into renewable and non-renewable resources.Examples of non renewable resources are coal ,crude oil natural gas nuclear energy etc. Examples of renewable resources are air, water, wind, solar energy etc. They can also be classified as actual and potential on the basis of level of development and use, on the basis of origin they can be classified as biotic and abiotic, and on the basis of their distribution, as ubiquitous and localised (private resources, community-owned resources, natural resources, international resources). An item becomes a resource with time and developing technology. Typically, resources are materials, energy, services, staff, knowledge, or other assets that are transformed to produce benefit and in the process may be consumed or made unavailable. Benefits of resource utilization may include increased wealth, proper functioning of a system, or enhanced well-being. From a human perspective a natural resource is anything obtained from the environment to satisfy human needs and wants. From a broader biological or ecological perspective a resource satisfies the needs of a living organism (see biological resource).
hope it helps.
ON THE BASIS OF EXHAUSTIBILITY RENEWABLE RESOURCES =these are the natural resources which can be used again and again or can be reproduced by physical, mechanical
and chemical processes. ex-solar energy.
NON RENEWABLE RESOURCES=these can't be replaced at all or within a reasonable time.ex-fossil fuels.
*ON THE BASIS OF OWNERSHIP :-
INDIVIDUAL RESOURCES =resources which are owned by individuals. ex.plots ,fields.
COMMUNITY OWNED RESOURCES =Resources which are relevant accessible to all the members of the community. ex-village ponds, public parks.
NATIONAL RESOURCES =resources which are reread under the control of state or union government. ex-Indian railways.
INTERNATIONAL RESOURCES =These resources are owned and regulated by international institutions.
*ON THE BASIS OF STATUS OF DEVELOPMENT
POTENTIAL RESOURCES =Resources which are found in a region, but have not been utilised due to lack of capital or other regions. ex-the western parts of India particularly Rajasthan and Gujarat.
DEVELOPED RESOURCES =These resources have been surveyed and their quality and quantity have been determined for utilisation.
STOCK=These are the materials in the environment which have the potential to satisfy human needs but can't be used as the humans do not have the appropriate technology to convert them into useful forms.
RESERVES =these are the subset of the stock which can be put into use with the existing technology but their uses have been postponed keeping in the mind the needs of the future generations.
