On the basis of Ownership, resources are classified as :
1) Individual.
2) Community.
3) National.
4) International.

a) Individual Resources : The resources owned privately by individuals.
Example : Land owned by farmers.
Plantations, plots owned by individuals.

b) Community Resources : The resources that are accessible to all the members of a community.
Example : Public parks ,picnic spots , etc.

c) National resources : The resources commonly belonging to the Nation.
Example : Roads ,railways , canals, etc.
Territorial water and resources.
Territorial water means, though Indian ocean is considered to be of India but only 12 nautical miles (19.2 km) oceanic area from coast, we are having.

d) International Resources : The resources regulated by international institutions.
Example : The oceanic resources beyond 200 km can't be utilized by any individual or community or nation without taking permission from the international international institutions.
