The FSUE “Rosmorport” North-Western Basin Branch renders services on icebreaker assistance to vessels convoys and individual icebreaker assistance to vessels calling at the seaports of the Eastern part of the Gulf of Finland – Big Port Saint Petersburg, Vyborg, Vysotsk, Passenger Port Saint Petersburg, Primorsk and Ust-Luga.
Icebreaker support is provided by using icebreakers of the North-Western Basin Branch, and, if necessary, by involving icebreakers of other organizations in case of tough ice conditions.
The Branch icebreaker fleet consists of 17 icebreakers, charachteristics of which meet the requirements of work in ice conditions of the Baltic Sea.
