Classroom A and classroom B have an equal number of students. If a total of 3 students move from classroom A to classroom B, the ratio of students in classroom A to classroom B is 3:5. How many students were in each of the classrooms originally?​

Let there be x students in each class .

When 3 leave from A, the no. is X-3

When 3 get added to B the no. is X +3

As per the ratio, we get the equation

5(x-3) = 3 (x +3) , giving the value 12 to x.

12 students in each class.
