Goria: Feb.24. A cleanliness week was organised in our school under the title 'Swachh Bharat Mission' from November 16-22 to create awareness among students about cleanliness. During the first two days the students went from door to door in the village and motivated the villagers to keep their surrounding clean. Dusbins were put at different points in the streets and people were requested to use them. Dusbins were also put in every room and student took oath to keep the school clean. On third day slogan writing, poster making and essay writing competition were held in which all the students took part. On fourth day a debate on cleanliness was held. The teachers of our school helped the students. The last two days were given to students to clean and decorate their rooms. The students of tenth class bagged first position in class decoration competition. At the end of this celebration ; our Principal thanked all the students and the teachers .

Today is the time of virtual learning; so is the celebration. The students of classes Nursery- P5 of The Modern School, ECNCR celebrated ‘Cleanliness Week’ from July 13 to July 17, 2020. The main aim to celebrate this week was to inculcate the habit of keeping oneself clean at all times and in every manner including the environment around us especially during the pandemic that the whole world is facing today.

Day 1 was dedicated to Personal Hygiene. The students from classes P3-P5 shared their videos on personal hygiene and what one must do to keep themselves neat and tidy. The importance of taking bath every day, washing hands before and after meals, method to wash our hands properly and the most important to trim nails were highlighted.

Day 2 focused on Keeping House Clean. The students of class P5 showed various ways to keep the house clean by regular dusting, keeping it neat and tidy, not to spill food while eating and to keep the kitchen germs free.
