Hey user Here is ur answer⤵⤵⤵

radius of small circle (r) = 35/2
radius of big circle (R) = 42/2

So, now area of required area = area of big circle - area of small circle

Area of circle = πr^2

Therefore area of big circle = π (42/2)^2
and area of small circle = π (35/2)^2

Area of required area = π (R^2 - r^2)
◆ π is taken as common

= π [(42/2)^2 - 35/2)^2]
= π (42/2 +35/2) ( 42/2- 35/2)
it's bcoz of identity i.e.
(a^2-b^2) = (a+b) (a-b)

= π (77/2) (7/2)
= 22/7 × 77/2 × 7/2
= 11 × 77/2
= 847/2
= 423.5 cm^2

Hope so it helps u..
