Maximum cloud storage providers support Web based protocols on representational state transfer (REST) application programming interfaces (APIs).

Some also relies on traditional block and file-based data where cloud storage gateway providers can help Clients access data in heavy storage clouds.

Clients, if they want to transfer data from one cloud provider to another or bring their data back in-house they use this protocol.

The fact is true that client accesses their data in the cloud through web-based protocols.

Mainly this web-based are handled by servers which are a device that connects the computer with a network of data and other services.

The access depends upon the type of format of the data that user has and the service levels for that to specify the kind of storage.
