Answer:

A process in which adjustment is done to be able to adapt to the actual or expected changes in climate is called Climate change adaptation. Global warming is enhancing the process of climate change adaptation.

Adaptation is done by the humans to be able to sustain in the present condition. There are two types of adaptations - incremental and transformational.

To limit the effects or rate of long term climate change like global warming, certain actions are performed which are called Climate change mitigation.

Necessary actions like afforestation, emission of greenhouse gas reduction by humans etc are done to be able to control the harsh effect of climate change.

In order to effective manage climate change the two acts of mitigation and adaptation are required.

Explanation:

  • Experts have identified that there are two approaches if we intend to manage climate change effectively.
  • These are the processes of adaptation and mitigation. Adaptation to the changed climate is gradually getting acclimatized to the changed trends of climate and naturally suiting your body to do the same.
  • And secondly is mitigation, the reduction and the stabilization of the carbon emissions and gases that get trapped in the atmosphere and increase the heat.
  • Doing these two processes would help the world is dealing with climate change.
