Coffee is a tropical plant which is also grown in semi-tropical climate. The coffee tree requires heat, humidity and abundant rainfall.
The ideal climatic conditions for the production and growing of tea are as follow:
Temperature: 21°C to 29°C is ideal for the production of tea. High temperature is required in summer. The lowest temperature for the growth of tea is 16°C.
Rainfall: 150-250 cm of rainfall is required for tea cultivation.

• It requires a tropical or sub - tropical climate.(21° - 29°)

• It needs highly fertile well-drained soil , rich in humus and organic matter.

• It also requires a warm and non- frosty climate throughout the year.

• Frequent showers evenly distributed over the tender leaves.(150-250 cm)

• It requires a cheap and skilled labour in abundance .

• It is majorly grown in Darjeeling, Assam West bengal , etc.

☆ COFFEE

• It requires a tropical climate with abundant heat, rainfall and humidity.

• Water logging should be avoided.

• It quality enhances qhen it is grown under shade.

• It is majorly grown in Karnataka, Kerela and Tamil Nadu.
