METHODS To address this issue, we decided to focus on publications reporting oral bioavailability results in one clinical pharmacology journal, namely, Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics. If this initial investigation were positive, subsequent research could involve a more complete examination of the literature. Data collection. All issues of Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics over a 25-year period, or from January 1970 through December 1994, were examined. Articles that reported oral bioavailability data were collected and screened.
