Clinical thermometer is not suitable to measure the temperature of boiling water . Give reason

Answer:

Clinical thermometer are meant for measuring body temperature by 37 C (normal body temperature). In case of fever it may escalate a little. Whereas, boiling water has the temperature around 100 C and clinical thermometer are not supposed to use to measure this high temperature.

No, It is not advisable to use a clinical thermometer to check the temperature of boiling water ,because a  clinical thermometer has a range less than the boiling point of water.When the clinical thermometer is placed in the hot water, it will be destroyed because of high temperature.
