Answer:

The closure property of the division tells that the result of the division of two whole numbers is not always a whole number. Whole numbers are not closed under division i.e., a ÷ b is not always a whole number.

Closure Property

closure property in division tells that division of two whole numbers is not always a whole number. Whole numbers are not closed under division i.e., x ÷ y is not always a whole number.

For Example ,100 ÷ 50 = 2 is whole number, but 50 ÷ 100 = ½ is not a whole number.

  • 24 ÷ 6 = 4 But, 6 ÷ 24 = 1/2
