As per National Weather Service clouds can be divided into three groups namely low, medium and high.

The low level in this group extends from the surface of the earth to 2 kms of the atmosphere.

Cumulous, stratocumulus, cumulonimbus
and stratus are the clouds belonging to the group of low clouds.

Of these, cumulus cloud is the famous one.

It is puffy, similar to balls of cotton that resembles sheep's wool.

They are formed by warm air that rises and is then obstructed by a cool surface.
