Yes cNG is less polluting Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) is considered as a clean, non polluting auto fuel. But it is claimed by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) that CNG-run vehicles emit dangerous nano-carbon particles. These nano-carbon particles contains carcino polynuclear aromatics which can pass through the lungs to the blood stream causing cancer. Presence of carbon nano particles in CNG has confirmed by a joint survey conducted by CSIR, IIPM Dehradun and University of Alberta in the CNG-run DTC buses running in Delhi. Hence, CNG is not a clean, non polluting autofuel.
