The line segment joining

A(4,0) and B(0,3)

To find :- coordinate of its mid point

Formula used - section formula

Section formula is :-

A(a, b) = A{[(mx2+nx1) /m+n],[(my2+ny1)/m+n]}

The ratio in which the line segment is divided is 1:1

Now ,

Applying the section formula :-

Let the mid point be P(x, y)

So,

p(x, y) = p( \frac{4 + 0}{2} , \frac{0 + 3}{2} ) \\ \\ \\ x = \frac{4}{2} = 2 \\ \\ \\ y = \frac{3}{2}

So,

The coordinates of P is (2,3/2)
