2-the carbon atom is forming double bond with 2oxygen atoms..

•It has large intermolecular spaces and more intermolecular force.
→Molecules are randomly arranged and so they move freely.

So,it is considered as a gas.

→CO2 is called as dry ice ( solid carbondioxide )
