CO2 is a gas . Write any two of its properties to justify this . Solid CO2 is also called dry ice . Why ?

solid co2 is called dry ice because if placed on any substance like paper it evaporates leaving the surface dry...thts y it is called dry as it does not wet the surface it is placed on.

Properties of CO2 which show us it is a gas - 
1. We exhale CO2 but cannot see it. Most gases are colourless but any other substance in another state can be seen. CO2  we exhale cannot be seen.
2. If we were to fill a balloon with CO2, the CO2 inside would take shape of the balloon. 

Solid CO2 is called dry ice because it looks like ice & it is cold like ice. But when it melts it does not becomes as a wet liquid. But when ice melts it forms liquid.
