Answer:  The answer is (d) .

Explanation:

Carbon dioxide absorbs infrared radiation (IR) in three bands of wavelengths, which are 2.7, 4.3 and 15 micrometers (µM). These three bands are covered in two wavelength regions of the EMS (i.e Near Infrared radiations and thermal infrared Radiations).

The charts are attached as a reference for the wavelengths regions in EMS.

Hope you find it helpful.  :)

Answer:

carbon dioxide is the main gas which is exhaled by humans and animals and plants absorb these carbon dioxide for photosynthesis. We know that carbon dioxide is essential gas which is needed because plants absorb carbon dioxide and give out oxygen which is essential for our breathing.

Electromagnetic spectrum (EMS) includes the entire wavelength of electromagnetic radiation which starts from the gamma rays and ends with the radio waves. It also includes visible light infrared rays ultraviolet rays etc. Electromagnetic radiations in the electromagnetic spectrum is used for spectroscopy.

carbondioxide is mostly absorbed in the NIR and TIR wavelength regions of EMS. Carbondioxide also have a capacity to absorb infrared radiation in the atmosphere. This is because carbondioxide have a greater influence in green house effect by absorbing infrared radiation and traps heat from the earth's atmosphere.

Near infrared radiation (NIR) is in the region of infrared radiation. NIR id the shortest infrared radiation. Its wavelength is 700nm to 2500nm.

Thermal infrared radiation (TIR) is also in the region of infrared radiation. It have a wavelength of 3.5 micro metre to 20 micro metre.
