Cost of 1 m cloth=42 \frac{1}{2}

 \rightarrow 42\frac{1}{2}  =  \frac{42 \times 2 + 1}{2}  =  \frac{85}{5} 5 \frac{3}{5}

 \rightarrow5 \frac{3}{5}  =  \frac{5 \times 5 + 3}{5}  =  \frac{28}{3}

m cloth=  \frac{28}{3}

m cloth=

 \frac{85}{5}  \times  \frac{28}{3}  =  \frac{2380}{15}  = 158 \frac{10}{15}

Hope it helps you...

Answer:

  • REQUIRED ANSWER :)

Cost of 1 metre cloth =

42 \times \frac{1}{2}

 :  \implies42 \times \frac{1}{2}  =  \frac{42 \times 2 + 1}{2}  =  \frac{85}{5}  =  5 \times \frac{3}{5}  \\  \\  :  \implies5 \times \frac{3}{5}  =  \frac{5 \times 5 + 3}{5}  =  \frac{28}{3}

Meter cloth = 28/3

Now,

 :  \implies \frac{85}{5}  \times  \frac{28}{3}  =  \frac{2380}{15}  = 158 \times \frac{10}{15}
