Coal and petroleum can form again naturally as they have formed once long before, but till these fuels are said to be exhaustible sources of energy. Why?​

Exhaustible natural resources like coal, petroleum and natural gas were formed from the dead remains of living organism (fossils). So, these are called fossil fuels. Coal and petroleum are very important natural resources and play a vital role in modem society.

Explanation:

Coal and petroleum are non renewable resources. They cannot be used again if completed once. It takes millions of years for formation. So once they are completed it will be hard to form again.
