Actually they aren't going to last for another hundred years, I Will explain you BELOW :-

Fossil fuels are biological materials containing hydrocarbon, which can be burned and used as a source of energy. They’re found in the Earth’s crust, so we have to drill into the earth to extract them.

But in couple of decade  I personally think it may run out.

Because people are using the fossil fuel so rapidly it may just run out.

And if it lasts then it would me possible only by using alternative energy

Hope it helps ^_°

As coal and petroleum are very rare and important fuels also known as fossil fuels are exhaustible resources which take thousands of years to form. But the way we use them does not show how important these fuels are. Because the time span in which we are using them is really very much less than the time span it took to form. And once it will surely come to end if we continue to do so.
