Newtons 2nd law: a = F/m Acceleration of weight down plane equals forces pulling weight down plane divided by it’s mass. W sin45 is pulling weight down plane. W cos45 (µ) is friction force resisting sliding weight down plane. W/g is mass of weight.

a = F/m = ( W sin45 - W cos 45 (µ))/(W/g) = (sin45 - cos 45(.5)) 32.2 = 11.27 ft/s/s .
