Given :-

  • Coefficient of variation of certain distribution = 5 .
  • Mean = 60 .

To Find :-

  • standard deviation = ?

Solution :-

we know that,

  • Coefficient of variation = (standard deviation / mean) * 100 .

putting given values we get,

→ 5 = (SD/60) * 100

→ 5 = (5 * SD/3)

→ 5 * 3 = 5 * SD

→ 5 * SD = 15

dividing both sides by 5,

→ SD = 3 (Ans.)

therefore, the standard deviation is 3 .
