Solution :

Let 5 kg of coffee be mixed with 2 kg of chicory.

Cost price of the mixture = Rs (250 × 5 + 75 × 2)

                                          = Rs (1250 + 150)

                                          = Rs 1400

Selling price of the mixture = Rs (7 × 230) = Rs 1610.

Since, Selling price > Cost price, there is a gain.

Now, gain = Rs (1610 - 1400)

                 = Rs 210.

Gain percentage = (\frac{gain}{total \ CP} \times 100) %

                            = (\frac{210}{1400} \times 100) %

                            = 15%

Answer:

Let 5 kg of coffee be mixed with 2 kg of chicory.

Cost price of the mixture = Rs (250 × 5 + 75 × 2)

= Rs (1250 + 150)

= Rs 1400

Selling price of the mixture = Rs (7 × 230) = Rs 1610.

Since, Selling price > Cost price, there is a gain.

Now, gain = Rs (1610 - 1400)

= Rs 210.

Gain percentage =  %

=  %

                           = 15%
