take 5 kg of first variety and 2kg of 2nd variety
toatal = 5+2 =7kg
cost of the 7kg mixture  5*250+2*75 = 1250 + 150 = 1400 /-

the cost of 1kg of mixture coffee = 1400/7 =200 /-
sp= 230/-

selling price is greater than the cost price
therefore gain /kg = 230-200 = 30 %

gain % = 30/200 *100 = 15%

thus % gain in 15%

5:2 = 5 Kg of 1st variety and 2 Kg of 2nd variety
Total = (5+2) Kg = 7 kg

CP of 7 kg of mixture = (5*250)+(2*75) = ₹(1250+150) = ₹1400

CP of 1 kg of mixture = 1400/7 = ₹200
SP = ₹230 per kg

Sp > CP ; hence there is a gain.
Gain = (Sp – CP) = ₹(230–200) = ₹30

Gain % = (gain/CP * 100)%
=> 30/200*100 => 15%

Ans => 15% is the gain%
