● turns red litmus to blue.

● Conduct electricity in solution.

● Mild corrosive in nature.

\bold{Coffee}

Coffee is a mixture of several compounds. It contains Caffeine, which is merely a basic because it's alkaline in its nature.

But, coffee also contains chlorogenic acid, and that too in a huge amount.

So, if we have to say that whether it is a basic or an acid, we will say it is an ACID and also it has it's pH as 5.

Hence, we can can quote that It is An Acid.

But, one more question arises it is an acid, yet bitter ?

The answer to this would be that it is bitter, but because of presence of other ingredients like told above- Caffeine.
