According to archaeological evidence, it can be said that Hunas circulated copper and silver coins in India. The rulers Toramana and Mihirakula issued silver coins which had impressions of their busts on it. These were of the Sassanian type. Various other types like the ones that showed fire altars and impressions of king riding the horse on side  and Lakshmi on the other, etc. were also issued by these kings. No proof of gold coins can be seen.
