Coitus interupptus is also known as with drawal method. This method is widely used by young couples or by people who are not bothered with medical methods of contraception.
A lot of young people still employ it.. particularly when they get involved in a one night stand and don't have any condoms available.
What happens actually in this method is that a man pulls his penis out of the vagina just before ejaculation.
As a method of contraception, it has a limited degree of success.. because It's easy to fail to withdraw early enough. So doctors don't recommend this method.

the coitus interrutus, also known as the rejected sexual intercorse, withdrawal or pull-out method is a method of birth control in which a man, during sexual intercorse, withdraws his penis from a woman's vagina prior to orgasm (and ejaculation) and then directs his ejaculate (semen) away from the vagina in an effort to avoid insemination
