Cold currents reduce the air temperature of places they flow close to. Coastal desserts are formed in this manner. Why don't winds shed their moisture over the coastal region ?

Cause of pressure change is the motion of warm and cold air (warm air rises up creating low pressure over land and vice versa). Overall, these conditions are present in the coastal regions hence the wind flows continuously there


yalu1582: My question is winds don't flow on the coastal regions. Why don't wind flow here ?
