Badminton is a game played by racquets. Two people with their racquets have to hit the shuttle cóck to the another person. Badminton is a global game. It is the game played by many number of people. It was a game started from the 19th Century. Points in this game can be scored by hitting the shuttle on the opponent's court. It has a feathers or a plastic shuttle cóck by which the requests hit. We need to wear badminton shoes (non-marking shoes) which help us maintain better grip on the court. Normal shoes won't have good grips.

Badminton game is played in síngles or doubles. It is played in a court. A court is divided into two. And again divided into two parts each. Lenght of badminton court is 13.4m and the widht of the court is 15.8m. There are bordered white coloured lines too. A badminton match can be played of 11 or 21 points. While playing badminton we see three kinds of racquets- Beginner, Advanced and Intermediate used by national and international players. Their costs also depend on the type of racquet.

When we play a game we also should know the rules. In badminton, there are a number of different rules while playing síngles or doubles game. While playing single player game, one opponent wil start the serving. But while doing service, the thing to keep in mind is that, for example if there are red and blue team and blue team scores 5 points, he will have to do the service from the left(odd number) side. Similarly while scoring even number, the person will serve from the right(even number) side.

While playing a doubles match, same kind of role is applied as above. But it is known as continue serve. He will have to change the court everytime for even or odd score. If a match is being played of 21 of 11 and both the opponent scores 20 or 10 points equally, then it is known as Deus. If the opponent while serving in Deus doesn't hit the shuttle, the person serving will get advantage to serve and win the match.

Badminton is played all over the world. It is played as 'Badminton Asia Confederation', 'Badminton Confederation of Africa', 'Badminton Pan Am', 'Badminton Europe' and 'Badminton Oceania' in different continents.
