Let me give this a try;
- Monocotyledonous plants are those plants whose seeds have got one cotyledon. while dicotyledonous plants are those plants whose seeds have got two cotyledons.
- Monocotyledonous are normally found to have the fibrous root system while the dicotyledonous plants normally have tap root system.
- The leaves of the monocotyledonous plants tend to have parallel veined structure while the leaves of the dicotyledonous plants tend to have networked veined structure.
