An industrial powerhouse, an architect in structuring the small-scale sectors and the highly sophisticated modern industrial hub are some of the reasons that have ranked Maharashtra as one of the most industrialized state of the country. There are approximately 1, 67,312 SME units operating in Manufacturing Sector of Maharashtra. The state continues to attract industrial investment from both, domestic as well as foreign institutions. It has become a leading automobile production hub, a major IT growth centre & the largest number of special export promotion zones in the country.

The third most industrialised district in Maharashtra is Thane with approximately 20,000+ large, medium & small Scale manufacturing units. The Thane-Belapur-Kalyan industrial belt is in the centre. In Ulhasnagar, Ambernath, Bhiwandi, Badlapur, Tarapur, Palghar, Vasai and Murbad, there are nearly 4000 industries which contribute towards the industrialisation.

A well-developed industrial area – Ambernath dominating Chemical Industries covering 231.48 hectares suited for any Industrial setup. The area has been developed in various blocks having plots of various sizes.

Due to lower land rates, proximity to the city & keeping in mind the requirement of SME, Ambernath MIDC has come up with an Additional Ambernath Industrial Area of MIDC with Land approx. 503 hectares, developing different Industrial zones & The Export Promotion Industrial Park (EPIP). Additional Ambernath has upcoming Phase II. Badlapur MIDC area is reserved primarily for Chemical industries, ADDITIONALdeveloped in various blocks having plots of various sizes available in auctions.
