The six types of chemical reactions are 1 . combustion 2 . synthesis. 3 . decomposition. 4.acid base 5.double displacement 6.single displacement. Ex; 1.burning of naphthalene 2.combination of iron and sulfer. 3.electrolysis of water. 4 . Reaction of sodium hydroxide. 5 . iodide and potassium nitrate 6.iron and copper sulphate gives iron sulphate + cu

There are five types of chemical reaction.
1. Combination reaction= In this reaction two reactants are combined to form one product. This type of reaction is called combination reaction.For examples
1.C+O2=CO2
2.CaO+H2O=Ca(OH)2
3.Fe+S=FeS.
4.2H+2Cl=2HCl
5.2Mg+O2=2MgO.
2.Decomposition reaction=In this reaction one reactant breaks down to give more than one products.For examples
1.2AgCl=2Ag+Cl2
2.2FeSO4=Fe2O3+SO2+SO3
3.CaCO3 =CaO + CO2
4.
H2CO3 =H2O + CO2
5.2AgBr=2Ag+Br2.
3.Displacement reaction=In this reation one more reactive metal displaces another metals from the its sulphate. for example
1.Fe+CuSO4=FeSO4+Cu.
2.Zn+CuSO4=ZnSO4+Fe.
3.
MgCl+Na=NaCl2+Mg
4.
Mg+2HCl=MgCl2+H2.
5.
Zn+2HCl=ZnCl2+H2
4.Double displacement reaction=In this reaction exchange of ions between the reactants take place. This can be represented as XY+AB=XB+AY.For examples
1.
NaOH+CuSO4=Na2SO4+Cu(OH)2
2.Na2SO4+BaCl2=2NaCl+BaSO4.
3.
Pb(NO3)2+KI=PbI2+KNO3
4.K2CO3+FeSO4=K2SO4+FeCO3
5.HCl+NaOH=NaCL+H2O
5.Oxidation and reduction(redox reaction) reaction when oxidation and reduction occurs simultaeously is called redox reaction.
1.CuO+H2=Cu+H2O
2.2Cu+O2=2CuO.
3.Zno+C=Zn+CO.
