I collected blood pressure of immediate neighbours and found the following results - Mrs. Saroj has 140/90 , Mr. Nair has 130/80. The optimum is 120 over 80. So both Mrs. Saroj and Mr. Nair have higher than normal BP so they need to consciously improve their lifestyle to bring it to optimum BP which is 120/80. It is not that alarming to start medication yet but steps should be taken to improve it. They could so by moderating their salt intake, eat more vegetables and fruits, keep a healthy weight by losing excess weight, if any, be active and get enough exercise daily and avoid alcohol.

I have collected the readings of blood pressures of my three neighbors Mr.Raj, Mrs.Lakshmi and Mr.Shankar. Mr.Raj has BP of 120/80. Mrs.Lakshmi has BP of 130/90. Mr.Shankar has BP of 110/80. The normal reading is 120 over 80. Mr.Raj has the normal reading. So,he is alright. Mr.Shankar has low BP. So,he should take salt more slightly and should prevent working overtime. Mrs.Lakshmi has high BP. That's why she should decrease the salt intake and start exercising to control her BP. She should take medicines on time to restore her high BP to normal.
