3) Ingenhouz tried to repeat priestley experiment under different condition and found that only the green parts of plants when exposed to sunlight could do that .

4) Several scientists started working on green plants were doing with water and air and sunlight and till date are know .

5) Green parts of plants use carbon dioxide in the presence of sunlight along with water to make glucose ,starch and other food materials .

6) This process of making food materials is called photosynthesis and such plants are called autorophs.
