Answer : Process of the formation of a pearl

A species of aquatic animals named 'Pearl Oysters' is existent in the seas, specifically on the seabeds.

These animals live in carbonated shells.

When a particle of sand enters into the shell in which an Oyster lives, the Oyster covers the sand particle with a special substance in order to stop the sand particle from pricking it.

This substance gets a roughly circular shape and gradually gets hardened.

This hardened material has a natural luster and shine which makes it valuable.

Divers find such Oyster shells and extract pearls out of them.

These pearl oysters are the oceanic organism which develop the pearls and are found in "Gulf of Kutch" (coast of Gujarat) and in the "Gulf of Mannar" (off the coast of Tamil Nadu)
