The Silk Route is one of the oldest route of trade between European and Asian countries. Although it is an old route but it is a very effective one. Every time the stakeholder countries keep looking into it and suggests improvisations.
A few recent developments are:
1. The Trans-Eurasia logistics train was started in 2008.
2. In September 2013, a proposal for a new silk road was given by the president of China from China to Europe.
3. In February 2016, the first train was dispatched under the OBOR scheme.
4. In January 2017, the first train was sent to London.
